CPSP Notification: Fellows of General Surgery Joining Neurosurgery or Orthopaedic Surgery Must Complete Four Years of Training

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) has issued an important notification regarding the training requirement for Fellows of General Surgery who wish to pursue further training in Neurosurgery or Orthopaedic Surgery. Under the new decision, such fellows will now be required to undergo and complete four years of training in the respective specialty.

This notification is of direct relevance to FCPS General Surgery fellows planning a second fellowship in either of these two surgical disciplines, as well as to supervisors and training institutions across Pakistan.
