Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: MBBS
- Postgraduate: FCPS training in Anaesthesia or MCPS in Anaesthesia
- Registration: Valid PMDC registration
- Experience: 3 to 4 years; prior experience in Anaesthesia is preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise pre-rounds, confirm the clinical readiness of the team, and ensure consultant treatment plans are carried out promptly and accurately.
- Oversee the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation, review and co-sign junior doctors’ notes, and maintain documentation quality in line with hospital policy.
- Coordinate complex patient care, keeping communication clear and timely between consultants, nursing, ancillary services and subspecialty teams for continuity of care.
- Track investigation follow-ups and pending clinical tasks, identify delays or risks early, and ensure timely escalation and closure.
- Lead and take part in academic activities, present clinical updates, and support departmental learning, research exposure and CPD.
- Ensure unit-level compliance with hand hygiene, safe practices, audits and corrective measures, supporting a culture of patient safety.
- Uphold patient-centred care standards and mentor junior staff on empathy, communication and holistic patient engagement.
- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs.
