The Health Department, Government of Sindh, is pleased to announce the formal appointment of several Women Medical Officers (BS-17) on a regular basis. This decision follows the recommendations of the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), Hyderabad, and has received official approval from the Competent Authority.

  • Effective Date: The appointments and subsequent postings are effective immediately.
  • Basis of Appointment: All selections have been made on a regular basis following the successful completion of codal formalities and the acceptance of offer letters.
  • Verification Process: All appointments remain subject to the rigorous verification of academic qualifications, domicile, and CNIC.
  • Posting Locations: Appointees have been stationed at various healthcare facilities, including:
    • Hyderabad Division: Sri C.J Institute of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.
    • Dadu District: THQ Johi and MCH Centre Phakaa.
    • Matiari District: THQ Hospital, Hala.
    • Tando Muhammad Khan District: DHQ Hospital and District Council Dispensary Ghulam Hussain Soomro.
    • Karachi Division: Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital, Services Hospital, and other key provincial facilities.

Administrative Directives

The notification, issued under No. SO-II-T(H)26-72/SPSC-2024(WMO) and dated January 28, 2026, includes the following administrative instructions:

  1. Charge Assumption: Concerned District Health Officers and Medical Superintendents are directed to submit charge assumption reports promptly to facilitate the actualization of salaries.
  2. Documentation: The Accountant General of Sindh and relevant District Accounts Officers have been notified to ensure seamless payroll integration for the new officers.

This recruitment drive underscores the Government of Sindh’s commitment to improving maternal and general healthcare services by ensuring that vacant positions in rural and urban centers are filled by qualified professionals.
