Office of the Medical Superintendent, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has officially announced the admission notice for Post Graduate Training (FCPS-II and MCPS) for the upcoming 2026 Session.
For all junior colleagues currently navigating their induction phase, this is a prime opportunity to secure a training slot in one of Karachi’s major public sector tertiary care hospitals. Below is the comprehensive breakdown of the available specialties, eligibility criteria, and application procedure to ensure your submission is complete and timely.
Available Departments for FCPS-II (4-Year Training)
Preference will be given to candidates interested in pursuing their 4-year FCPS-II training in the following specialties:
- Medicine
- General Surgery
- Gynaecology and Obstetrics
- Paediatrics
- Nephrology
- Orthopaedics
- ENT (Otorhinolaryngology)
- Psychiatry
- Urology
- Ophthalmology
MCPS Training Admissions
In addition to FCPS-II, applications are also invited from interested doctors for MCPS Post Graduate Training for Session 2026.
- Stipend: Selected MCPS trainees will be provided a monthly stipend of Rs. 75,000/-.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for induction, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- FCPS Part-I: Must have successfully cleared the FCPS Part-I examination (required for FCPS-II applicants).
- Domicile: Must hold a valid Karachi Domicile.
- PMDC: Must possess a valid PMDC Registration.
- CPSP Rules: All admissions will be granted strictly in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP).
- Government Employees: Candidates currently in government service must apply through the proper channel and are required to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective department.

- FCPS Part-I Passing Letter
- House Job Certificate
- Valid CNIC
- Three (03) Passport-size photographs (attested from the back)
- Karachi Domicile

- Valid PMDC Certificate

- How to Apply: Applications must be addressed to the Director / Medical Superintendent, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and submitted with the three sets of attested documents mentioned above.
